Negotiations Students Critique Their Own Digital Videos

On November 18-20, 2008, Professor Shanks assigned her students to record their one hour negotiations session using a webcam. After the recording, each group of 2 students saved a copy of the video onto a flash drive.  In addition to the professor’s assessment of their negotiatons skills, each student had to write a reflective paper after watching their performance on the video.  Both counted as their final exam.


VideoConferencing Enables Remote Attendees & Presenters

On November 10, 2008, Albany Law Intellectual Property Society hosted a Comic Symposium. Two speakers from the Comic Buyer’s Guide (F+W Publications) were able to attend and present thanks to our Tandberg 6000 videoconferencing system in the Dean Alexander Moot Courtroom.  This was the first time we used the system and things went off without a hitch (except for the fire alarm).


Collaborative Class Uses Teacher-Created Digital Videos

In order to make an interactive experience for their students, the faculty in the clinic created 3 digital videos, divided the class into groups and assigned each group a different video.

The videos were created using a webcam, uploaded to our website and then linked to TWEN (see image above) along with directions for the assignment.
